Bay Ave Bakery & Café - Highlands – While they’re known for their buttery, decadent crumb cake, we go here for their excellent bagels which make a great foundation for their scrumptious breakfast sandwiches (taylor ham pic). Seating is available indoor and outside in their patio parking lot. 3 block walk
Girls Café – Highlands - Run by two sisters and a bunch of their friendly cousins, this extremely tiny, somewhat hidden diner serves up hearty breakfasts and warm conversation until 1pm every day. Seating inside is very limited but they have a cheery outdoor patio in nicer weather. 5-10 min walk
Yolks on You –Sea Bright - If you want a nicer place to eat in, you’ll appreciate the charming decor of this beachy cafe. Generous portions of gourmet and more traditional breakfast dishes taste as good as they look and are served all day. 10 min drive
Hudson Cafe - Atlantic Highlands - Also owned by a couple sisters, this tiny but well run spot serves up wildly fluffy omelettes with loads of cheese plus perfect potatoes. You’ll want to go back for more. 10 min drive
Amy’s Omelette – Long Branch – A casual diner with fun music and a carnival/musical themed décor like an awesome 70’s basement. I'd suggest ordering their perfectly crisped hash browns and magnificently juicy Taylor Ham sandwich (naked of course) on a slightly charred bagel. 20 min drive.
Over Easy -Fairhaven - This trendy spot in an unassuming strip mall serves dishes as pretty and delicious as the décor. BYO champagne which you can pick up next door and they’ll provide the OJ for your mimosas! 20-25 min drive.
