BUT FIRST.... Hop on one of the 3 bikes we provide [Kranky Cycles rents bikes & gear ]start out at Et Al for a quick caffeine fix and pastry. then head over to Popamora Point Beach at the start of the Henry Hudson Trail about a mile down the street for a few photos of the spectacular views of the bay and NYC.
TRAIL –Get on the beginning of Henry Hudson Trail where you'll cruise along the water towards Atlantic Highlands for even more spectacular bay views and Insta-worthy selfies! During the summer you may be able to catch a free show along the way in the park in Atlantic Highlands.
DRINK- Now that you’ve worked up a sweat, reward yourself with a refreshing drink from local fave On the Deck in the Atlantic Highlands Harbor. Rest up while enjoying views of the Bay and NYC. It's about a 20-25 min journey from the start of the Henry Hudson trail.
DRINK MORE ...Eat a little depending on your hunger and thirst (and how sweaty you may be LOL) bike up First Street and pop over to The Atlantic House to hang on the roof deck for more fresh air and views of the adorable downtown.
TRAIL - We aren't that hardcore so we'd head back the same way we came which is still a great ride.
EAT - Now that you’ve worked up an appetite and are back in town – it’s time for dinner! Highlands boosts some of the best food there is on the Jersey Shore. Check out our blog on waterfront dining or if you want to hop in the shower and stay in the rest of the night, our go-to for DELIVERY is Franny’s Pizzeria & Restaurant -their Drunken Nonna's is pizza perfection.
ICE CREAM: Everyone screams for ice cream at the Jersey Shore and since you worked so hard all day, you should top off your productive day with a scoop or two from Hinlickety's, the colorful 1950’s inspired ice cream shop just a few blocks away.
