Any day you are 'down the shore' is pretty great, but if you really want to optimize your time, try our suggested itin:
BEACH – Hop on one of the 2 bikes we offer guests, then head over to Popamora Point Beach at the start of the Henry Hudson Trail about a mile down the street. It is a beautiful bay beach where you can soak in the sun and spectacular views of NYC. But first, stop at Et Al on the way for a quick caffeine fix and pastry.
BIKE –When you’ve had enough lazing on the beach, take the bikes for a cruise along the water on the Henry Hudson Trail towards Atlantic Highlands for even more spectacular bay views and Insta-worthy selfies! During the summer you may be able to catch a free show along the way in the park in Atlantic Highlands.
DRINK- Now that you’ve worked up a sweat, reward yourself with an artisanal beer from local fave Carton Brewery. Rest up in their lively taproom located in Atlantic Highland’s downtown area about a 20-25 min journey from the start of the Henry Hudson trail.
EAT - Happy Hour is over and you’ve worked up an appetite – it’s time for dinner!! Highlands boosts some of the best food there is on the Jersey Shore. Our go-to is Franny’s Pizzeria & Restaurant just a couple blocks away. It’s pizza perfection of course (try Grandma’s!) but do not forget to order their crispy, tender, mouthwatering calamari. Grab a bottle of wine and eat in their charming outdoor patio area or get Franny’s delivered!
ICE CREAM: It wouldn’t be summer vacation at the Jersey Shore without a trip to Hinlickety's, our colorful 1950’s inspired ice cream shop just a few blocks away.
